This pigment is part of the Dust To Dust collection. This polish is NOT vegan. The pigment in this polish is very strong, see the note on staining and how to prevent it below before wearing!

The cochineal used to make this polish was sourced from harvested cactus on a farm in Oaxaca, Mexico. No cochineal were harmed in the creation of this polish; the cochineal used had reached the end of their life cycle and would have otherwise been discarded. Similar to our Bone polish, we are interested in honoring the life of these insects by finding a unique use for them.

Naturally, larger particles will stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle and not suspend in the polish base. Be aware that the natural pigment in this polish can stain. We suggest using two coats of base coat and for long wear a coat of nude polish underneath.

This polish comes with a removable handmade decorative bronze cap atop our standard black matte nail polish cap - merging artistry with function.
